Juno Jewellery is designed and hand crafted by Mikaela Danvers.

About Me: I am a designer at heart, and I love to create things with my hands. I work part time as a senior secondary teacher, with a Graphic Design Business, as well as my other small business venture, Just Details.net. My blog is about the things I love to do, when I can find the time to do them, and serves as a photographic journal of day-to-day happenings.
About Juno: Juno is a jewellery business that I have recently relaunched in 2009. I used to design, make and sell
jewellery about 5 years ago under the name "Glam Jewellery". The Glam label was popular among friends, family and online, but wound down and slowly came to a halt as I finished my University studies in Graphic Design and Education, and started my career as a Senior Secondary Teacher. Luckily I was wise enough to keep all my jewellery making supplies and am now relaunching the business under it's new name, with several popular earring designs ready for retail and wholesale.
Inspiration: I take my inspiration from many things, the most prevalent being the Art Nouveau style, utilising curvilinear shapes and stylings from nature. I also love the gorgeous colours and effects in glass beads, as well as the rough textures of the lava rocks, and the simple yet striking forms of coloured shell.
Materials used: The materials used in Juno earrings consist of sterling silver wire, links and ear hooks, and specialty beads made of glass, shell and lava rock. I am also introducing a freshwater pearl line. Certain earrings (such as Athena Black) utilise black nickel as a design element which may not be suitable for sensitive ears. If you like the look of the black nickel wire but would like sterling silver ear hooks, please contact me directly.
